We hope you’ve had a wonderful summer and are enjoying these final weeks before the start of a new school year. Whether you are returning to East Troy Community School District or joining us for the first time, we are excited to welcome you to our school community.
As we prepare for the first day of school on September 8, please complete your online registration and review the important dates, reminders, and information included in this newsletter. These resources will help your family feel ready for a smooth start to the year.

Annual Online Registration for all returning/enrolled students will be open from:
August 1 at 6:00 AM – August 15
Accessible via Family Access (see next section for more information)
This process ensures we have current information for your child and collects annual permissions. During registration, you will also have the option to pay registration and optional fees online using a credit or debit card through RevTrak.

We provide Skyward Family Access to families to support better communication and engagement. This online platform allows you to:
- View your child’s schedule, attendance, grades, discipline records and more
- Schedule conferences
- Complete online registration
- Make online payments for food services and fees
- Update your contact information and manage notifications
- Access the Family/Student Directory (see next section for more information)
How to Retrieve Your Login Credentials:
- Go to www.easttroy.k12.wi.us and click the Family & Student Access icon.
- Click Forgot your login or password?
- Enter your email address.
- If it matches the one on file, you will receive an email with your login details and a password reset link.
- Be sure your spam filter allows emails from: do.not.reply@k12.wi.us.
If your email is not recognized, please contact dralis@easttroy.k12.wi.us with your name and your child's name for assistance, or call (262) 642-6710 ext. 1250.
Please note: Credentials for new online enrollment do not provide access to the Family Access module.

As a parent/guardian, you may need to contact other families for:
- Invitations (Please note: Invitations for birthdays and similar events are not allowed to be distributed at school)
- Playdates
- School projects
The Skyward Family Access Portal makes it easy to find family contact details like addresses, phone numbers, and emails.
For the Upcoming School Year:
- Existing families’ preferences will stay the same.

- Scroll to the School Directory section
- Select the info you want to share or deselect “Add Family with…” to opt out
- Click Save to confirm your choices

Our district uses ParentSquare for school communication — via email, text, and app notifications.
ParentSquare is safe, secure, and modern, keeping families connected with their school.
- Accounts are automatically created for parents, using the preferred email and phone number from our Student Information System.
- We encourage all parents to log in, download the app, and update notification preferences.

The East Troy Community School District charges student fees to help cover the cost of consumable materials used in classrooms and off-site programs. These fees support items such as workbooks, textbook and technology rentals, and district-wide technology expenses including software licenses, monitoring applications, and online resources. Additional consumable fees may be charged throughout the year for field trips and special courses to provide enriched learning experiences.
Annual fees apply to all students in grades 4K through 12 and vary by grade level. Requests for fee waivers must be submitted each year through the free and reduced lunch application process.

High School: No specific list. Bring notebooks, pens/pencils, any personal organizational tools on the first day of school. Teachers will communicate additional needs during class.

Pre-Order Information
- Visit the School and Sport Pics website to pre-order your student’s pictures.
- Pre-orders must be completed on or before Picture Day.
- If you don’t have internet access, order envelopes are available in the school offices.
After Picture Day
- Students who are photographed will receive a unique code to view and order pictures.
- This code will be sent home and emailed once pictures are available online.
- Pictures cannot be ordered online until you receive the code.
- The same code is used for retakes.
- Retake images will be available online about two weeks after retake day.

Absentee/Retake Picture Day

Date: September 29, 2026
- Students who miss the original Picture Day will have their photo taken on this date. Ordering information will be provided then.
- For retakes, please notify your child’s teacher to send them for photos and return the original picture package to the photographer. New packages will only be ordered if the original is returned.
