Revised 2026-27 School Calendar

This week, the ETCSD Board of Education approved modifications to the school calendar by reducing 4 school days in the school year, with the school year beginning after Labor Day and ending on Thursday, May 27th (before Memorial Day weekend). Graduation will be held on Sunday, May 23rd at 1 PM. To accommodate the fewer days and meet the DPI minute requirement, the school day will be extended by 10 minutes next year (7:45 AM - 3:15 PM).

Incredible Jazz Concert - Last Blast

What an unforgettable evening of music and talent at this year’s annual Last Blast! Featuring our incredible Jazz Choir, Middle School Jazz Band, and High School Jazz Ensemble, the concert was nothing short of spectacular. From the opening show, performed by Emma Cooper and Emerson Barrett, to the final bow, the performance showcased extraordinary musicianship, passion, and artistry, captivating the audience and highlighting the immense talent within our music program.

With both our High School Jazz Band and Jazz Choir earning 1st place recognition at state competitions this year, the excellence displayed on stage came as no surprise. The overall tone of the evening was electric, filled with pride, celebration, and appreciation for what these students have accomplished together.

To our seniors, congratulations on your final jazz performance of your high school careers. While the final curtain may have fallen on your Last Blast experience, the impact you have made on our music program will resonate far beyond the stage. Congratulations to Dane Borkowski for receiving the honorary John Philip Sousa award, highlighting Dane's contributions to the HS music program. We are deeply appreciative of all you have contributed to our music programs, school, and community.

Finally, a heartfelt standing ovation to our exceptional directors, Mr. Treder, Mr. Arendt, and Mr. Bertino, whose dedication continues to inspire excellence in our students.

Bravo to all on an absolutely outstanding Last Blast!

Spring Athlete Signing Day

Congratulations to Our Spring Signing Day Athletes!

We celebrate an incredible milestone as six outstanding student-athletes officially commit to continuing their academic and athletic careers at the collegiate level, joining two previously committed seniors to bring the ETHS Collegiate Athlete Class of 2026 to an impressive total of eight student-athletes!

Each athlete's dedication, perseverance, and commitment to excellence, both in the classroom and in competition, have created opportunities that reflect years of hard work, sacrifice, and passion for their sport. This accomplishment is also a testament to the support of their family and coaches, who have encouraged them every step of the way.

We are incredibly happy for our athletes and excited to watch them continue competing and representing our school community at the next level.

Construction and A.C.E. Academy Students on the Job in Madison

Last week, our Construction class and A.C.E. (Architecture, Construction, and Engineering) Pathway students had an incredible opportunity to explore the world of construction through tours of two outstanding industry partners in Madison, Wisconsin - Joe Daniels Construction and J.H. Findorff & Son Inc.!

The day began at Joe Daniels Construction’s office near the Beltline, where students met with the Senior Project Manager and Estimator, along with the Human Resources team, to gain valuable insight into the business, office, and planning side of construction. Students learned about bidding, project management, design and architecture, cabinet making, and the many moving parts involved in bringing projects to life from concept to completion.

From there, students loaded the bus and headed downtown to Findorff’s OLIV Madison job site, where a high-end luxury apartment complex for students and young professionals is currently under construction. Students had the unique opportunity to tour the site from top to bottom, including an unforgettable visit to the rooftop on the 15th floor to see the rooftop pool being poured! As they worked their way down the building, students explored rough carpentry, finishing work, cabinet installation, and numerous other components of the construction process.

In addition, students had the chance to speak directly with the project manager, industrial engineer, and other specialists to learn firsthand about the many career paths and day-to-day responsibilities within the construction industry.

A huge thank you goes out to our Construction teacher, Mr. Schroepfer, for organizing this outstanding experience for our students. Even more exciting, Findorff shared that this was the first school tour they have ever hosted, making our students true pioneers in gaining real-world exposure to all facets of the construction industry.

At East Troy High School, we are committed to creating authentic learning experiences that connect classroom knowledge to future careers. Experiences like this help students see what is possible and inspire the next generation of skilled professionals.

Go Trojans!
