Now Seeking 3-Year-Old Peer Models for Little Prairie Playgroup

Dear Families,

The East Troy Community School District is excited to announce that we are now seeking 3-year-old peer models for our Little Prairie Primary 3-Year-Old Playgroup. This early learning program brings together children with and without special needs to learn, play, and grow alongside one another in a supportive, language-rich environment.

Each group is led by a dual-certified teacher and supported by a speech-language pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist, and special education teaching assistant.

We are specifically looking for peer models who demonstrate:

  • Strong social and communication skills 

  • Cooperative play skills (including sharing, turn-taking, etc.)

  • Independence in self-care (including being toilet trained and able to wash hands)

  • The ability to follow directions and demonstrate positive behaviors

  • Ability to separate from caregiver 

Playgroup Sessions:

  • Session #1: Monday, Wednesday, Friday | 8:00–10:00 AM

  • Session #2: Tuesday & Thursday | 8:00–10:00 AM

  • Session #3: Tuesday & Thursday | 12:00–2:00 PM

Parents/caregivers are responsible for providing transportation to and from the playgroup.
Prior to enrollment, peer model candidates will attend a session to help determine readiness.
