A note from Mrs. Harris

December is here and the Holidays are upon us. This is an exciting time for students, both in and out of school. We will work hard here at Little Prairie to maintain consistency in expectation of student behavior, as December can be a challenging time for little ones. We will continue to reteach and remind your children of the importance of displaying behaviors that are respectful, responsible, safe, and caring.

The last day of first trimester was Tuesday, November 25th . As we enter our second trimester, please note that your child’s first trimester report card will be posted in Skyward Family Access and become available to you Wednesday, December 3rd.

Lastly, at this special time of year, it is important to take some time to be thankful for what we have. I am thankful for our little learners, supportive families, and caring school staff.

Thanks for all you do and have a wonderful Holiday season.

Focused on growth for all students,
Lindsey Harris, Principal

PBIS - December is SELF-CONTROL month

**We had 15 returned bucket drops during the 1st trimester! Keep up the bucket-filling behavior at home and in the community!

A big thanks to Marcus Theatres: Student Motivation Program for donating two-for-one movie passes with complimentary soft drinks. When students return “bucket filling drops”, they receive one of these movie passes (while supplies last). Additional copies of the “bucket filling drops” can be found here.

**Leon on the Shelf (Little Prairie's version of "Elf on the Shelf") will be traveling to all the classrooms during the month of December as a reminder to make "PAWSitive" choices during all the holiday excitement.

**We are currently working on earning a school-wide reward of “Holiday Story.”
